If you’re flying ​with a national – national or national – international connection

  • Your flight will arr​ive at the National Dock (national exit, flights within Peru).  Go directly to the boarding gates located on the second floor. 
  • Re​member that before you go to the boarding gate you must have gone through airport tax, security controls (X ray) and police checks.

If ​you’re flying with an international – national connection

  • Your flight arrives at the airport and will go to the International Dock (International exit).
  • Claim your baggage in customs and take it to the baggage drop off to check it in.
  • ​Then go to the second floor where you’ll find the boarding gates.
  • Remember that before you go to the boarding gate you must have gone through airport tax, security controls (X ray) and police checks.

If you’re flying with an international- inter​national connection

  • Your flight will arrive at the International Dock (international exit).
  • After getting off the plane you must go through the security controls (X rays for connecting flights located on the first floor).
  • Then go to the second floor and go to your corresponding boarding gate.

Pleas​e note:

  • The Jorge Chavez International Airport is located to 10 kilometers north east of the center of Lima.
  • You have various public transport options to travel to the city. The ​journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
  • In the International Dock zone(first floor ) you’ll find the Avianca Customer Service Center.

  • Check in modules located on the ground floor opposite the commercial zone. Operating hours from 2.30 a.m. to 5.50 a.m. a​nd 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

If you’re flying with a national internationa​l connection

  • Make your connection directly, gate to gate.
  • If you don’t have your boarding pass, go to the Central Information Point (Customer Service module at the airport) where you’ll get help to print your boarding pass and instructions as to how to get to the corresponding gate for your flight.
  • Please remember you don’t have to go through immigration or customs if you have a flight with a connection.

If you arrive​d on a connection flight with another airline and you haven’t checked in for your Avianca flight 

  • Go to the Central Information Point so they can help you with documentation and issuing your boarding pass.

If you have a connection with Avianca and the system hasn’t issued your boarding pass

  • Go to gate number 8, where you can get help with documentation.

For flights to the ​United States

  • Go through the security check in the boarding gate . Please remember you can’t transport liquids in your carry-on baggage​.

Plea​se note

  • The International Comalapa Airport is 45 minutes from San Salvador (capital) and there are no businesses, residential or built up areas near it.
  • Transport to San Salvador costs approximately USD 30.
  • Buses and taxis can take you to the city. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
