Conditions and Restrictions

  • Charges for transporting bicycles do not apply for flights to and from Brazil. 
  • Transportation of delta wing does not apply for flights within Colombia. 
  • For tickets purchased on any date for travel to and from Brazil, the charge for the first surfboard bag is USD 50 plus taxes.
  • For tickets to and from Brazil, issued as of Abril 3, 2017, the additional value per bag as of the second piece is USD100 plus taxes. 
  • These charges apply only for tickets purchased with Super Promo, Econo and Business Class Promo fares. They do not apply for LifeMiles Diamond passengers or for tickets purchased with Business Class or Flex fares; as long as the sports equipment meets the free allowed baggage policy conditions.

Where can I purchase this service? 

 

You may purchase this service at the airport upon check-in or when checking your baggage. At other locations, you must purchase it 24 hours before your flight. 

Conditions for your baggage to be transported

 

 

  • Sporting equipment and its packaging must be in optimal conditions and endure manipulation by our personnel. If any of the elements is damaged it may not be transported. 
  • If you register your equipment as additional baggage, a charge per extra piece applies and it will be registered as conditional baggage. That is, subject to space availability and market with the standby bag tag.
  • Sporting equipment measuring for which the sum of its three dimensions exceeds 230 centimeters (90 inches) and/or weighs more than 45 kilograms (100 pounds) must be transported by our cargo service and its haulage is subject to current policies. Except for surf, kitesurf and windsurf equipment that may be transported as checked baggage if their weight does not exceed 32 kg (70 pounds) and 3.7 meters (12 feet) in length.

  • Each traveler may transport, a maximum of one board measuring less than 2 meters.
  • If the plane is an Embraer 190, a table measuring a maximum of 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) is allowed.
  • If the plan on which you are flying is an ATR, only one board per bag is allowed.
  • On flights operated by Cessna Caravan planes, the board must be transported outside its bag.
