Free baggage allowance

Learn about the characteristics of baggage you can take as checked baggage without any additional cost.

What is free baggage allowance?

Free baggage allowance is what you can take in the plane’s hold without paying an additional cost. The number of allowed pieces, their dimensions and their characteristics, depend on the region to and from which you are travelling.

Remember that the sum of the external dimensions (height+length+width) cannot exceed 158 centimeters (62 inches).

Each piece of baggage cannot exceed the allowed weight and dimensions. Should any of your pieces of baggage exceed the limits, you must pay for excess baggage.

How much can you take?

Changes to the baggage policy for tickets issued as of April 3, 2017.

On flights between Central America, South America and the Caribbean, except for Mexico, you may take 1 piece weighing 23 kilograms (50 pounds) on Economy Class.
