Miami, Jan. 12, 2025 Avianca announced that tickets are now on sale for its new route connecting Guatemala City with San Francisco*. The seasonal service will operate from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2026. The connection will strengthen international travel links between Central America and the United States, expanding options for customers traveling from Guatemala to the U.S. West Coast.
“The launch of this route responds to customer demand for more connectivity options between key destinations and is part of Avianca’s strategy to continue strengthening its international network with an efficient and reliable operation”, aid Alejandro Benítez, senior vice president of corporate development.

More comfort with Business Class Américas
Avianca’s Business Class Américas experience offers premium seats with extra legroom and greater recline in the first three rows of the aircraft. On flights longer than four hours, passengers receive an amenity kit from Mola Sosa, made with recycled PET bottle fabric and designed in collaboration with women from the Gunadule community. Avianca also announced recently that its Business Class Américas option will be available on domestic flights between Guatemala City and Flores, offering travelers a new premium experience on this route.
