Avianca Adds Additional Flights for the World Cup Season

  • More connectivity: Avianca continues strengthening its network to the United States, Canada, and Mexico to bring Latin American fans closer to the world’s biggest soccer celebration.
  • More seats: The operation will add 1,800 extra seats on routes connecting Bogotá with Miami, Mexico City, and Dallas, as well as Quito with New York.

  • Large-scale operation: These flights complement the airline’s previously announced offering, which includes more than 3,000 flights and close to 600,000 seats to and from the tournament host cities.

Miami, June 01, 2026- Following the announcement of a historic operation of more than 3,000 flights and close to 600,000 seats to connect fans with the World Cup, Avianca (part of Grupo Abra), is further strengthening its North America network to meet the increased demand expected during the tournament season.

As part of this expansion, the airline will add extra frequencies, contributing 1,800 additional seats across the following strategic routes:

  • From Bogotá: to Miami, Dallas, and Mexico City.
  • From Quito: to New York.

Additionally, with the launch of the direct Guatemala–San Francisco route*, the company will offer 4 weekly frequencies and more than 1,400 seats per week to connect the two cities during this season.

Strategic connectivity to tournament host cities

With this increase, Avianca offers travelers a global network connecting more than 80 destinations in 25 countries through 155 routes. Specifically, the airline offers nonstop service to 10 of the tournament’s 16 host cities:

  • United States: Miami, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, and Houston.
  • Mexico: Mexico City and Monterrey.
  • Canada: Toronto.
