The relocation will support Avianca’s growing operation at FLL, offering more space, improved passenger flows and enhanced operational efficiency for international travel.
MIAMI, June 25, 2026 — Avianca announces relocation of its operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Terminal 4, supporting the airline’s continued growth in South Florida and enhancing the travel experience for passengers flying between Fort Lauderdale and Latin America.
The move to Terminal 4 will allow Avianca to centralize its operations in a larger space designed to support the airline’s incremental flight activity at FLL. The first flight departing from the new Terminal 4 operation will be from Fort Lauderdale to Bogotá on Monday, June 29. The terminal will also provide improved passenger flows and operational efficiencies, particularly for international travelers, with access to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection services available at the terminal.
“Fort Lauderdale is a key market for Avianca, and this relocation reflects our continued commitment to strengthening our operation in South Florida while offering customers a smoother and more efficient travel experience,” said Avianca. “Moving to Terminal 4 gives us the space and operational flexibility needed to support our growth at FLL, improve passenger flows and better serve travelers connecting between South Florida, Latin America and the rest of our network.”
The transition is being coordinated in close collaboration with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Broward County Aviation Department to support Avianca’s growing operation, to ensure a smooth relocation and enhance the customer experience. Avianca will also update its systems, distribution channels, signage, and passenger information platforms to reflect the terminal change.
The move further supports Avianca’s broader growth in the United States, where the airline currently operates more than 400 weekly flights to and from the country. Through its network, Avianca connects 14 cities across Latin America with U.S. destinations including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas on a seasonal basis, among others. Travelers can also connect to more than 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
Passengers traveling with Avianca from FLL are encouraged to check their flight information before arriving at the airport and confirm terminal details through avianca.com, the Avianca app or FLL’s official airport channels.
