Connections between domestic and international flights within the El Dorado International Airport (T1)

  • ​If you’re flying in on a domestic flight that arrives at the El Dorado International Airport (T1) and you have an international connection with Avianca or a Star Alliance member airline.

 Check that the connecting flight and/or final destination are shown on your boarding pass and baggage stub.

 You’ll arrive at the unloading area or mezzanine.

 Go down the stairs to get to level 1, to the baggage area, and leave the domestic pier. 

 When the plane arrives in a remote position you’ll be taken by bus to level 1, through the baggage area. 

 Go up the stairs to get to level 2.

 Locate the information screens to verify the boarding gate of your next flight. 

 Go through the Migration and Security controls to reach the boarding gate of your next flight.​

  • If you’re flying in on an international flight via Avianca or any of the member airlines of Star Alliance and you have a domestic connection departing from the El Dorado International Airport (T1)​

 Check that the connecting flight and/or final destination are shown on your boarding pass and baggage stub.

 You’ll arrive at the unloading area or mezzanine. 

 Go through Migration. 

 Go down the stairs to get to level 1.

​ Go through National Customs and exit the International Pier.

 Go up the stairs to get to Level 2 within the Domestic Pier of the same terminal and locate the boarding gate for your next flight.

Domestic or international connections with other airlines

  • On arrival in El Dorado International Airport (T1), you must claim your baggage in Level 1, go toward the exit and go up to level 2 to carry out the connection process in the modules of the other airlines.​
