February, Avianca Holdings transported 2.2 passengers

In February, 2016, Avianca Holdings S.A. airlines transported 2,235,626 passengers, 9.1% more than those transported during the same month on 2015. The occupancy factor was 76.7%.

In January and February 2016, Avianca Holdings subsidiaries mobilized 4,728,997 passengers, accounting for a 7.2% increase in relation to the number of passengers transported during the same period in 2015 and reaching an occupancy factor of 79.6%.

Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) subsidiary companies mobilized 2,235,626 passengers during the second month of the calendar year, registering a 9.1% growth in comparison to the number of passengers transported during the same month in 2015. Capacity, measured in ASKs (Available Seat Kilometers) increased 12.1% during this month, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (Revenue Passenger Kilometers) grew 10.4%.

Avianca Holdings affiliates mobilized 4,728,997 passengers during the first two months of 2016, achieving a 7.2% growth compared to the same period of 2015. Capacity, measured in ASKs (Available Seat Kilometers) increased 9.7% during the first two months of the year, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (Revenue Passenger Kilometers) grew 9.1%.

Domestic Markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador

In February, Avianca Holdings’ affiliated airlines transported 1,370,751 travelers within these markets, a 10.4% increase compared to February 2015. Capacity (ASKs) increased by 8.2% during this month, while passenger traffic (RPKs) grew 11.8%.

For the January-February 2016 period, Avianca Holdings airlines mobilized 2,857,327 passengers in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, registering a growth of 8.1% compared to the number of passengers transported during the same period in 2015. Capacity (ASKs) in these markets grew 5.6% while traffic passenger (RPKs) increased 10.3%.

International Markets

In February, Avianca Holdings’ integrated airlines transported 864,875 passengers in international routes, a 7.0% increase in the number of travelers transported during the same month in 2015. Capacity (ASKs grew 13.3% while passenger traffic (RPKs) increase 10.0%. As a result, occupancy in international routes during the second month of the year was 76.8%.

During the first two months of 2016, the numbers of passengers mobilized by group airlines in international routes increased to 1,871,670, 5.9% more than the number of passengers transported internationally during January and February of 2015. Capacity (ASKs) grew by 10.9% and passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 8.7%.
