Avianca sympathizes with recent events in Peru

Lima, March 17, 2017.

Avianca deeply regrets the events that have recently affected the Peruvian people and sympathizes with all victims of the rain and environmental contingencies that have taken place in the country.

Within the framework of its Avianca Solidaria program, the company is working to expand its capacity on the routes that connect Piura and Trujillo with the rest of Peru, to help with transportation of humanitarian aid and volunteer physicians to the area affected by the tragedy. 

Currently, Avianca representatives are coordinating with the consulate network of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs throughout Latin America and the United States to mobilize international aid to be taken to the disaster area. The company has also made an additional aircraft available that will fly in the following days with all collected donations. It is important to highlight that Avianca has not modified its itineraries or air fares in flights that originate from or arrive to Piura or Trujillo.

To facilitate date changes on flights for travelers that require to do so, the company waives all charges for this modification on tickets until March 26 on the aforementioned routes.
