Agreement between Avianca, Great Western Railway and Heathrow Express

With this partnership, Avianca bets on intermodal connections in Britain

25th November 2017. Avianca has signed an intermodal agreement with train companies Great Western Railway (GWR) and Heathrow Express to offer passengers on its flights between London and Bogota, the possibility to connect to/from central zones in multiple destinations in England and Wales, on the comfortable and modern GWR trains. Besides, transfers between Heathrow Airport and Paddington Station, where GWR operates, are included at no extra charge.

Destinations of this Alliance include: Bath, Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Cardiff, Exeter, Newport, Oxford, Penzance, Plymouth, St. Austell, Swansea and Swindon.

Combined tickets may be purchased from travel agencies, Avianca call centre, ticket offices and coming soon on Avianca.com. All train tickets are included in the air fare. 

This is yet another connecting alternative in addition to the already existing intermodal product offered by Avianca with the British intercity bus company National Express and, of course, with other airlines. 

Train tickets: Passengers can easily print their GWR and HEX tickets within 72 hours before each train departure in the check in section of Accesrail.com

Transfer between Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 and train station: TThe train station at Heathrow Airport where HEX trains to/from London Paddington depart/arrive is located a few minutes’ walk away from the terminal where Avianca operates.

Europe Avianca Operation: Avianca operates 7 weekly frequencies between Bogotá and London, 28 weekly direct flights between Madrid and Bogotá/Cali/Medellín and 7 weekly flights between Barcelona and Bogota, with convenient connecting options in Latin America and Europe.
