What must you know before you travel?
We know that there are health conditions that require special treatment. Below you will find some recommendations for pregnant women, persons who need to travel with portable medical equipment, among others.
Are you going to take a trip during your pregnancy?
Travelers less than 30 weeks pregnant
If you are less than 28 weeks pregnant and your pregnancy is high risk, ask your doctor for a certificate of your condition and authorizing your flight.
Travelers more than 30 weeks pregnant
Before your trip, let us know about your condition. Upon check-in, show the certificate provided by your specialist. In this document, the health professional must authorize your trip taking into consideration the segment and the duration of the flight. You may also fill out the Waiver, releasing us from any event related to your pregnancy during the flight.
Portable dialysis equipment
You may take it as carryon baggage at no additional cost.
The use of the machine is not allowed during flight.
Complementary elements such as the machine’s support and peritoneal dialysis solution must be transported as checked baggage.

Information that must be included in the medical certificate
You must also show a certificate from your physician authorizing you to travel on a plane without any additional medical requirement, stating the travel date and the route.
Validity of the medical certificate
The document must be issued at the latest 10 days prior to departure of your flight. You may show it on your return trip; as long as no more than 1 month has elapsed and your health condition Is stable.
On the day of your trip, show the original document at the check-in counter.
