To elevate the experience on flights from Buenos Aires:
Bogotá, November 20, 2025. Avianca continues to strengthen its onboard culinary options with the addition of a new menu designed together by two of the region’s most renowned chefs: the Colombian Álvaro Clavijo, Chef of El Chato, included in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants; and the Argentine Gonzalo Aramburu, creator of Aramburu, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant featured in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Starting November 15, passengers flying in Business Class Americas on routes from Buenos Aires, from both Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza) and Jorge Newbery Airfield, can enjoy this collaboration that fuses the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of both countries. Each dish has been designed to reflect the essence of where it comes from, reinterpreted with contemporary techniques and a focus on local ingredients.
“Álvaro Clavijo and Gonzalo Aramburu combine their talents to elevate the flavors of Colombia and Argentina. With local ingredients, they transform every dish into a dining experience that combines innovation and tradition,” said Katherine Stradaioli, avianca’s Vice President of Customer Delivery. “We are proud that avianca’s Business Class Americas experience is the setting for two cuisines that represent the best of the continent.”
For his part, Álvaro Clavijo commented: “This collaboration is an opportunity to share who we are through food: identity, memory, and region. Bringing flavors inspired by Argentina to the skies of the Americas is a privilege and a way of connecting with passengers emotionally.” And Gonzalo Aramburu added: “The aim of our offer is for each passenger to experience a journey within the journey. It is a sensory experience where ingredient, technique, and history meet to pay homage to the region’s diversity.”
Avianca’s Business Class Americas experience is available on more than 80 routes across the continent and offers Premium seats with more space and recline in the first three rows of the aircraft. On flights longer than four hours, passengers receive a Mola Sosa amenity kit, which is made from recycled PET bottles and designed alongside women from the Gunadule community, and which features Loto del Sur products.
In addition, travelers enjoy onboard food and beverages, access to the avianca on air entertainment system from their mobile devices, and a fare that allows them to bring one personal item, one piece of hand baggage up to 10 kg, and two bags weighing 32 kg each. They also have priority services (check-in, baggage check-in and drop-off, and boarding), access to avianca lounges, and the accrual of 10 Lifemiles per dollar.
