Avianca Updates Operations To and From Venezuela

MIAMI, Nov. 26, 2025 — For more than 106 years, Avianca has connected countries, stories, cultures, and traditions, always prioritizing safety across its operations. In Venezuela’s case, that commitment is reflected in more than six decades of service that have helped reunite families and support commercial and tourism activity between both countries.

Avianca’s recent operational adjustments follow an alert issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and recommendations from Colombia’s civil aviation authority to reinforce the safety of passengers and crew.

Given this context, the airline is urgently calling on aviation authorities to provide timely clarification regarding the recommendations and conditions issued.

For now, Avianca will reschedule its Nov. 27 flights between Bogotá and Caracas to Friday, Dec. 5, and will offer customers with confirmed reservations the following options:

  • Rebook travel: On the same route, at no additional cost and subject to availability, for travel up to one year from the original flight date.
  • Change the route with origin/destination in Cúcuta: At no additional cost and subject to availability.
  • Request a refund: For any unused flight segments on your ticket.

Customers may make changes or request a refund through the contact center, at points of sale, or through their travel agency if the ticket was purchased through that channel.

Avianca reiterates its commitment and deep appreciation for Venezuela, as well as its firm intention to resume and expand flights for the benefit of passengers and Latin America’s connectivity as soon as conditions allow.
