MIAMI, March 9, 2026. Avianca announced the launch of ticket sales for a second daily frequency on its Bogotá–Caracas route, expanding travel options and further strengthening bilateral connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela. The decision responds to growing customer demand and the consolidation of operational and aviation safety conditions, evaluated in coordination with the relevant authorities.
With this second operation, Caracas will be connected to 37 international destinations via Bogotá, in addition to 24 domestic destinations across Colombia, adding 16 new international points to the available network. This expansion will allow travelers to easily reach cities in the Caribbean, as well as Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile and Spain, thanks to same-day connection options.

The new frequency will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with approximately 180 seats per flight. With two daily frequencies on the Bogotá–Caracas route, Avianca will offer around 5,040 seats per week, representing a significant increase in transport capacity between the two destinations. The operation will begin on March 28, 2026, providing travelers with more itinerary options and greater flexibility when planning their trips.
