Prepare your checked baggage

The number of pieces shown includes both the baggage allowance from your fare and the additional piece granted by your elite status benefit

Please note that:

● The personal item and (10 kg/22 lb) carry-on baggage are included in the fare you purchased.

● If you're flying to or from Europe, Brazil, or on select routes in the Americas, your fare will be called light and will include one personal item (handbag) and a 10 kg (22lb) carry-on baggage. Checked baggage (23 kg/50 lb), seat selection, and airport check-in will incur an additional charge.

  • Additional baggage benefits apply to tickets purchased and tickets redeemed with miles, according to the fare selected.
  • The additional checked baggage benefit for tickets purchased under the basic/light fare does not apply to members with any elite status.
  • The additional checked baggage benefit for Star Alliance Gold members applies to all fares, except basic/light.
  • The additional checked baggage benefit for elite members does not apply to sports equipment.
  • The additional checked baggage benefit for business fares applies only on flights with an available Business Class cabin.
