No. The Stopover service does not add any extra cost to your ticket. You’ll only need to cover your personal expenses during your stay in Bogotá, such as accommodation, food, transportation, etc.

Your baggage allowance will follow the same policy as the fare you purchased. Please note that if your connection is less than 24 hours, your baggage will be checked through to your final destination. This means your bags will not be available during your time in Bogotá.

If you choose to make a Stopover in Bogotá, you are responsible for managing your time during the layover. Passengers are solely responsible for arriving on time to board their connecting flight.
Avianca is not responsible for missed connections if the passenger leaves the airport or engages in tourism activities during their layover in Bogotá and fails to return to the gate on time for boarding. We strongly recommend planning your return to the airport well in advance, considering traffic, transit time, and airport procedures.
For international flights, you must arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure, and 2 hours before for domestic flights.
