Terms and conditions of use of the pre-printed coupon book for on-board consumption at avianca

1. Definitions and Scope of Application

• From now on, "Coupon Book" will refer to the printed checkbook-type product that allows users to make purchases on board flights operated by Avianca using coupons in COP or USD that can be purchased at counters or boarding gates.
• "User" refers to any person who purchases and uses the Coupon Book.
• "Avianca" refers to the airline Avianca S.A. and its subsidiaries.¹

2. Purchasing the Coupon Book

• Coupon Book Purchase Process: The Coupon Book can be purchased in cash or by debit or credit card at the counters and at Avianca gates before the departure of flights operated by the airline.
• Coupon Book price: The coupon book will be sold at each station only in local currency at the exchange rate according to the representative market rate on the day of purchase, and its denomination will be represented in USD for international flights.
  
  Coupon books that are purchased in Colombia to be used on domestic flights within said country will be charged in Colombian pesos equivalent to the commercial value specified in them, and said value will not be affected by the fluctuation of the representative market rate.

3. Using the Coupon Book

• Using Coupons: Coupon Book coupons are exclusively valid for making onboard purchase transactions on flights operated by Avianca.
• Redemption of Coupons and Values ​​in the Menu: Each coupon is equivalent to the specified commercial value.
• Restriction of the use of the coupon book: Individual coupons can only be redeemed if they are in the coupon book. Under no circumstances will coupons be accepted that are torn or separated from the coupon book.
• Restrictions on the Use of Coupons: Each coupon can only be redeemed once, and for products from the Buy On Board (BOB) menu available for sale on board. Users may use remaining coupon balances on future purchases for at least one (1) year from the coupon issuance or activation date. Partial redemption does not automatically extend the agreed validity period.
• Validity and Restrictions on Use of the Coupon Book: Several coupons may be used to purchase a single product, depending on its price.
• Possibility of other alternative payment methods: Customers may combine coupons and a credit card for a purchase.
• Exclusivity of Use: The Coupon Book is only valid to purchase products from the Buy On Board menu on flights operated by the Airline, and cannot be used for other services or products offered by the Airline.
• Limitation of use in the Avianca network: There will be 2 coupon codes, one in USD (only for use on international flights) and one in COP (only for use on domestic flights within Colombia). Customers connecting from a domestic flight to an international flight, or vice versa, may only use coupon books with the denomination provided for the type of flight they are on at the time they intend to purchase the products on the menu.
  
  

4. Limitations and Restrictions

• Validity and Period of Use of the Coupon Book: The Coupon Book is valid for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Once this period has expired, the coupons cannot be used and no refunds or extensions of validity will be made.
• Refunds and Coupon Exchange: The coupons are not refundable or exchangeable for cash in any case. In cases of damaged or damaged products on board, the crew member will replace the product with the same or similar product during the flight.
• Resale policy: Resale of coupons is prohibited in any scenario.
• Additional Payment: The customer may pay the excess of a higher value product with a credit or debit card on board.
• Owner: The coupon book is a bearer document, so it is the only document that the passenger needs to present to redeem products on board.

5. Liability Disclaimer

• Loss, Theft and Unauthorized Use of the Coupon Book: Avianca is not responsible for the loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Coupon Book.
• Product Availability on Avianca Flights: The continued availability of products for sale on board is not guaranteed, and Avianca reserves the right to modify its offer without prior notice.
• Limitations of Coupon Use: Coupon Book coupons cannot be used to pay for additional services, taxes, fees, charges or other concepts that are not included in the BOB menu.

6. Passenger Discounts

• Discount Options for Passengers with the Coupon Book: Passengers can access the individual prices of the products on the BOB menu, as well as combos with special discounts when using Coupon Book coupons.

7. Purchase of Any Product

• Flexibility in Choosing Products with the Coupon Book: Passengers have the option to purchase any product available on the onboard menu using Coupon Book coupons.

8. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

• User Commitment to the Terms and Conditions: The purchase and use of the Coupon Book implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the User.
• Avianca's Right to Modify the Terms and Conditions: Avianca reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will come into effect upon publication on official Avianca channels or email notifications from authorized domains.

Terms and Conditions for the Purchase of Seat Upgrades on Board Avianca Flights

Definitions and Scope of Application

Hereinafter, "Upgrade" refers to the service that allows the User to upgrade their seat on board all Avianca domestic and international routes, except for flights to and from Europe, through onboard sales, in exchange for an additional voluntary payment by the User.

"Seats" refers to the available seats on board.

"User" refers to any person who purchases and uses the service, also understood as a "passenger."

"Avianca" refers to the airline Avianca S.A. and its subsidiaries¹.

"WIFE" is an onboard entertainment system that uses wireless technology to offer multimedia content to passengers. Instead of relying on built-in seat screens, this system allows passengers to access content using their personal devices, such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops.

Onboard Upgrade Service

Types of Seats Available for the Service:

• Flatbed | Business Class: This seat can be fully reclined into a flat bed², including elements for passenger comfort and an onboard entertainment system. Meals, beverages, and liquors are subject to availability on each flight³.
• Premium | Business Class: This seat consists of a premium-type chair, comfort elements for passengers on flights over 4 hours, and a WIFE-type entertainment system. Meals, beverages, and liquors are subject to availability on each flight.

• Plus or Emergency Exit Seats: Greater space and comfort, includes a WIFE-type onboard entertainment system, but does not include food, liquor, or beverages.

In any case, it is clarified that the possibility of making an Upgrade will be subject to the availability of Seats on board the aircraft on each flight.

Onboard Upgrade Acquisition Process:

2.2.1. If Seats are available, the Upgrade will be offered through an onboard announcement by the crew. Users interested in acquiring it may use the call button and contact the crew to confirm acceptance of the terms and conditions printed in the onboard menu.

2.2.2. The onboard Upgrade can be purchased using payment methods available on the flight through the cabin crew on Avianca-operated flights.

Seat Availability and Request Order: If the demand for Seats onboard exceeds the available supply, the crew will assign the available Seats in order of request via the call button.

Service Pricing: The Upgrade may be available for purchase by the User on Avianca network flights, with pricing represented in USD for international flights and COP for flights within Colombia. The price of Seats may vary by destination, so the User must confirm it during the flight through the cabin crew.

Service Usage

Onboard Service Use: The availability of the Upgrade is subject to the aircraft's weight and balance procedures, as well as other applicable regulations. Therefore, its purchase and subsequent use may only occur after takeoff or, exceptionally, in cases of delay before taxiing (subject to crew approval).

Limitations and Restrictions:

Upgrade Validity and Usage Restrictions: The Upgrade purchase applies only to the current flight.

Refunds and Exchanges: The Upgrade is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances. Once the service conditions are explained and the passenger accepts, the service fee is non-refundable.

Resale Policy: The resale of the Upgrade is prohibited in any scenario. If resale occurs, Avianca may issue a formal warning to the passenger, requesting immediate cessation of this conduct under penalty of invalidating the non-refundable Upgrade purchase.

User Eligibility: The Upgrade is a service that may be used by the paying passenger or another passenger (companion) under mutual agreement.

Liability Disclaimer

Upgrade Availability on Flights: Avianca informs that the service is subject to governmental approval. Consult our crew to check if the Upgrade is available for your flight. Avianca does not guarantee the availability of Upgrades and reserves the right to modify its offer without prior notice. Avianca is not responsible for the unavailability of the service due to operational changes or flight schedule adjustments.

Food Availability on Business Class Service Flights: For Upgrades that include Business Class service, comfort elements, as well as the flight seat, are guaranteed; however, the menu and beverages are subject to availability. Passengers opting for this service will be informed by the crew about availability and, by accepting the service, they agree to these conditions.

Overhead Bin Availability: The availability of space in the overhead bins of the new seat location chosen by the passenger is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

User Commitment to Terms and Conditions: The purchase and use of the Upgrade imply the User's full acceptance of the information provided by the crew, the printed information in the onboard menus, and these Terms and Conditions.

Avianca's Right to Modify the Terms and Conditions: Avianca reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication through Avianca's official channels or notifications sent via email from authorized domains.

2. In some wide-body aircraft configurations, the seat recline may be less than 180°.
3. The onboard menu and beverages for the Business Class experience are limited. Please check with the cabin crew for availability before purchasing the flight seat change service. Passengers who purchase the flight seat change service release the airline from any claims regarding the availability of food and beverages onboard in their new seat category.
